Entrepreneurship. Literacy. Mentorship
The Elm Society
The ELM Society is an organization whose goal is to eradicate the poverty mindset and the cycle of mediocrity for both children and adults living in low income areas. The three pillars we stand on to execute this mission are Entrepreneurship, Literacy and Mentorship.

We believe that through education anything is possible. We also believe that graduating college is not where education stops, but where it begins.

We truly believe that everyone is born with a unique gift, and we intentionally develop an environment that is conducive for individuals to create and cultivate their gifts in order to make a living from those gifts.

We realize that it's not necessarily knowledge that most people lack, but it's ACCOUNTABILITY, and that's why we put so much emphasis on mentorship. Low income communities (more often than not) are run by grandparents, foster parents, or 1 parent households.
Often the parents are divorced or the father is detained or deceased. In circumstances like these, it takes someone or an organization from the outside to come in and make a positive impact to break the cycle of poor generational habits.

And that's where we at The ELM Society come in.
We believe that everyone has a gift. We encourage individuals to find that gift and capitalize on it.
Success rises and falls on literacy. The ability to read and write is essential to study history, read the bios of successful people and comprehend financial documents in order to build a solid foundation.
“Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction.”
